Podiatry Musculoskeletal (MSK) Advice and Support

There are a lot of musculoskeletal (MSK) problems/injuries that can be associated with the foot, ankle and lower limb and it would be impossible to list them all. 

We have highlighted some of the most common problems and created resources which you might find helpful in sections below.

Rehabilitation while wearing and after wearing and offloading boot or shoe

Foot and ankle rehabilitation exercises

1- Calf muscle (gastrocnemious) stretch

2- Calf muscle (soleus) stretch

3- Intrinsic foot muscle strengthening (toe scrunch)

4- Intrinsic foot muscle strengthening (doming)

5- Seated tibialis posterior strengthening with band

6- Seated peroneal strengthening with band

7- Standing heel raises to strengthen calf muscles.
