The Glasgow City HSCP Family Wellbeing Hub provides support for parents and carers of children and young people aged 5–26 living in Glasgow City who are experiencing emotional distress, additional needs or challenges at home, at school or in the community. The Hub offers a welcoming space to access information, speak with staff and connect with other families.
Parents and carers can attend a weekly drop‑in session for advice on topics such as:
- Mental health
- Neurodiversity
- Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance
- Relationships
- Screen Time
- Risk‑taking behaviours
- Parenting and financial pressures
Staff work alongside families to understand their circumstances and link them with appropriate support. Parents/Carer Peer Support Volunteers are people who understand what you’re going through. They use their own lived experience to listen, offer understanding, and support families facing similar challenges.
The Hub is delivered in partnership with Health Improvement, Parent/Carer Peer Support Volunteers, Children 1st, DIFFERabled, 3rd Sector Partners and local specialist services, using a trauma‑informed and culturally responsive approach.
