COVID-19 – what to do if you have symptoms

If you suspect you have COVID-19, there are a number of ways to seek support and treatment as required.

Visit a community test centre

You can visit a COVID-19 community test centre if you do not have symptoms, where you can pick up lateral flow test kits or take a test on site. Details for these sites are available on your local authority website.

Speak to a healthcare professional

If you would like to speak to a healthcare professional, there are a number of ways you can do so.

  • If you are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms and need medical advice contact your GP practice during opening hours
  • If you need to speak to a medical professional when your GP surgery is closed, call NHS 24 on 111. Please remember that NHS 24 is only able to provide support for COVID related issues as an out of hours service.
