The winners are:
Innovation of the Year – Crosslet & Queens Quay Catering Teams – Food for Life
The Crosslet & Queens Quay Catering Teams have transformed care home mealtimes through creativity and commitment to wellbeing. Their innovative, nutritious approach earned national recognition, including Scotland’s first Food for Life Bronze Award for care homes. From tailored menus to joyful events, they’ve improved outcomes, reduced reliance on supplements, and enhanced residents’ quality of life.

Employee of the Year – Mikey Quinn, MSK Physiotherapist
Mikey has stood out through positivity, dedication and innovation. He supported key service improvements, contributed fresh ideas and went beyond expectations. His leadership in creating an engaging patient video strengthened communication and teamwork. His energy, creativity and commitment have made a meaningful difference to colleagues, the service and patient experience.

Leader of the Year – Derek Dolan, Senior Charge Nurse
Derek has transformed Glenarn Ward, Dumbarton Joint Hospital, with compassionate, person-centred leadership. In 18 months, he fostered a supportive culture reflected in a 100% care assurance score. His approach has strengthened teamwork, improved outcomes and created a positive environment where dignity and respect are central, leaving a lasting impact on staff, patients and carers.

Team of the Year – Justice Services Team
The Justice Services Team has delivered exceptional work under pressure, supporting vulnerable individuals while protecting communities. Through innovative, trauma-informed approaches and strong teamwork, they’ve improved outcomes and wellbeing. Their resilience, compassion and commitment to positive change have made a significant impact across West Dunbartonshire.

Volunteer of the Year – Jamie MacLean, Mentor Scotland
Jamie is an inspiring volunteer whose compassion and dedication supports people across the community. Through peer support, training and suicide prevention work, he creates safe, inclusive spaces for connection and recovery. His selfless commitment has helped many rebuild confidence, improve mental health and feel less alone.

Chief Officer’s Award – Karen Glass, Practice Development Physiotherapist
Karen’s kindness, compassion and dedication have shaped MSK Physiotherapy for over 20 years. She consistently supports colleagues, patients and carers with empathy and care, fostering an inclusive, supportive culture. Her quiet leadership, encouragement and focus on wellbeing have left a lasting impact across the service.
