A patient has brought a little ray of sunshine to staff at the RAH, in the form of a beautiful piece of artwork.
The drawing was donated to the audiology staff by Janet Porter, a regular patient at the Paisley hospital.
She commissioned the drawing from Jo Sunshine, a Glasgow-based artist and friend, to show her appreciation for what the NHS has done for her and everybody in the past and especially so in these difficult times.
Jo Sunshine is a visually impaired artist who draws predominantly with neon crayons. She kindly carried out the work free of charge.
She said: “My drawings are inspired by events around me. I was delighted to get this commission to do a drawing for the NHS staff. I was so proud to be able to do something which may make their day a little bit brighter.”
NHSGGC Clyde Director Marie Farrell said: “This was such an amazing and kind donation from Janet and will be sure to put a smile on many staff faces.
“While it was donated to Audiology, we decided to show it off properly and put it where everyone would see it on the way into the RAH.
“These are tough times for everyone, but the support we are getting from the public – and kind gestures such as this – is making things so much easier for our staff. Thank you.”
