NHSGGC has launched a new health improvement digital resource to support public health.

My Health is a one‑stop shop for digital health and wellbeing advice. It’s packed with simple information, short videos and basic guides on how to self-manage common health problems and conditions.
The site focuses on three themes:
- Preparing for appointments by helping patients to plan ahead
- Looking after your health to make the most of face to face care
- Providing tips and advice for self-managing common conditions.
It’s free to use and requires no login, sign-up or download. Just type www.nhsggc.scot/my-health into your browser or scan the QR code below.

Anna Baxendale, NHSGGC’s Head of Health Improvement, said: “My Health takes trusted, verified advice from NHS specialists on some of the most common health issues, and puts it all in one place.
“It covers everything from advice on how to get to our hospital sites and claim travel expenses, to the things people can do to get a better night’s sleep or manage chronic pain.
“Whether you’re someone who likes to read, watch videos or get out and do something, My Health will help you get the most from your face to face care with the NHS by meeting you where you are, with straightforward advice and practical support.”
Long-Term Conditions support
My Health offers something for everyone but is particularly helpful for people with long-term conditions, like diabetes or chronic pain.
These conditions often lead to wider health issues, making it difficult for people to know where to look for the right health information. This group may also need more appointments which have longer wait times due to the complexity or variety of their conditions, making it even more important to know how to self-manage.
The My Health website features as one of the key strands of the My Health – Living Well with Long-Term Conditions service, a soon-to-be launched new NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde service designed to support people living with ongoing symptoms that affect their daily lives, wellbeing, and independence.
You can use any internet browser, like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or FireFox to access My Health. The site also has a helpful “top tips” guide to support less confident web users find their way around.
If you would prefer to speak to someone face to face, you can visit one of our hospital-based Support and Information Services or your local library, where we have trained staff who can help guide you find trusted health information, local services and support that is right for you.
