The West of Scotland Safe Haven (WoS SH) is a research support service. Designed to facilitate access to routinely collected health data for clinical research and innovation. At this time WoS SH hold data for the NHSGGC population but we hope to add data from other West of Scotland Health boards in the future.
The WoS SH believes in the power of data driven clinical research and innovation in the improvement of clinical services, treatments and patient outcomes. In order to work with us researchers and innovators must meet legal, ethical and security standards but also demonstrate that their project has potential public benefit. Above all patient privacy is at the core of how we function.
The WoS SH is a partnership between NHSGGC and the University of Glasgow who host approved projects within their Trusted Research Environment (TRE).The WoS SH forms part of the NHSGGC Research and Innovation Service, and works closely with other R&I teams including NHSGGC Biorepository, Glasgow Clinical Research Facility and the West of Scotland Innovation Hub to support data capabilities within these services.
To learn more about the services we offer, read the WoS SH User Guide.
The Glasgow Safe Haven can:
