The service aims to promote the mental health and well-being of young people and families by offering the following:
- Assessment and treatment of severe mental health problems in childhood and adolescence
- Consultation and liaison with other agencies working with young people
- Teaching and training
- Reports to the Children’s Hearing and other medico-legal services
- Research and audit activities
