Staff at the Vale of Leven Hospital today welcomed a visit from the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport, Jeane Freeman.
Ms Freeman was shown the new Digital Radiography Room by Jane Grant, Chief Executive and other members of the senior management team.
The new Digital Radiography Room installed earlier this year with an investment of approximately £300,000 and local patients getting x-rays and CT scans at the hospital are benefitting from this new state-of-the-art equipment.
The Cabinet Secretary also met with members of Hospitalwatch and local MSP, Jackie Baillie to plant a ‘Tree for the Future’ on the site to represent the hospital’s future.
Ms Freeman said: “We’ve been clear that we see a bright future for the hospital. It’s great to see this reflected in the recent investment in the new state-of-the-art digital radiography room. This is already bringing benefits to patients in the local area, further cementing the crucial role this hospital plays in the local healthcare system.
“I also want to thank the members of Hospitalwatch for inviting me to meet with them and for the opportunity to highlight our shared commitment to the future of the hospital with the planting of a tree
