Huge cheers as Jacqueline MacDonald crossed the finish line at Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow today. Jacqueline from the Western Isles celebrated the anniversary of her son Lachie's heart surgery by completing a 310-mile running challenge, the distance from her home in Great Bernera to the hospital. Jacqueline’s “Laps for Lachie” has raised over £4,500 for the British Heart Foundation while shining a light on congenital heart conditions.The Scottish Paediatric Cardiac Service (SPCS) is based at the RHC. Jacqueline shared her gratitude for the care Lachie received at the hospital. She said: “The care that Lachie received from staff was amazing.
