Background
Jamie is a counsellor and founder of Hopeful Spaces, a community-based therapy service in Paisley. Jamie received a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the New Year’s Honours for his work during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has served on the boards of SAMH and Amma Birth Companions and is currently a member of the Scotland Committee at Shelter. He brings governance experience across national and community organisations, alongside expert insight in mental health and community engagement, with a focus on accessibility, dignity, and person-centred care.
