NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is calling on anyone who has missed their flu vaccination appointment to reschedule or attend one of its drop-in clinics this week.
With the festive season fast approaching, eligible individuals are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their loved ones from flu. Vaccination is the best defence against the virus, helping to reduce illness during a time when social gatherings are at their peak.
This week, NHSGGC is running 14 drop-in sessions alongside its 21 community clinics, and almost 180 community pharmacies across the region are also offering flu vaccinations.
Dr Emilia Crighton, Director of Public Health at NHSGGC, said:
“Christmas is a time when we’re all socialising, travelling on public transport, meeting in bars, and gathering with family and friends at home.
“The best way to protect yourself during this busy season is to get the flu vaccine. The last thing anyone wants is to spend the festive period feeling unwell.
“Our drop-in clinics this week make it easy for eligible people to get vaccinated before Christmas.”
