Referral Pathway Guidance Post-menopausal bleeding
Post-menopausal bleeding
This is defined as unscheduled bleeding after 1 year of amenorrhoea. Women with PMB require urgent referral.
Women on continuous combined HRT regimes should also be referred if they have bleeding after 6 months of use.
